Adam Grabiec upset Depa
Polish Adam Grabiec won vacant BBU International light middleweight title at Dzierzoniow on the 9th April by technical decision in the sixth round over countryman Wojciech Depa.
Grabiec who took the fight only with some days notice boxed simply but effectively; with good straight punches and body punches he made the fight one sided event.
In the end of the 2nd round Depa was cut from accidental headbutt. Grabiec thought it was after one of his punches but referee Grzegorz Molenda saw it as a headbutt. During the fight the cut became deeper and just few seconds before the end of the six final round the referee asked the ring
doctor to check the cut. After the consultations the fight was stopped and fight went to the
scorecards. Decision was clear. One judge saw it as 60-55 while two others saw it as 60-54 all in favour of Grabiec.
With an upset victory over earlier unbeaten opponent Adam Grabiec captured BBU International title on his waist.
