BBU Lightweight Champion Dariusz Snarski

Polish veteran boxer Dariusz Snarski (POL) was successful at his second attempt to Baltic Boxing Union championship belt while beating Polish-licenced but Belarus-based challenger Yauheni Abdurazakau over eight rounds on Sunday at Kolno, Poland. The first time in Wieliczka against former world title challenger Matt Zegan wasn´t successful for Snarski, but this time after an awesome fight he was crowned as the new Baltic Boxing Union Lightweight Champion.

The fight was a real war and both fighters proved to be in top shape entering this fight. Many experts have said Dariusz Snarski vs. Yauheni Abdurazakau to be the best BBU fight in Poland.

First two round were very suprising for everyone while Snarski was losing and Abdurazakau knew he was winning. The third round was more competetive and it was the first won by Polish fighter. Snarski controlled the fight but both of them were agressive. Punch for punch - many head punches and Snarski starting to dominate the less experienced and 19 years younger opponent.

In round five frustrated Abdurazakau started to use his head instead his fists and he got point deduction in 5th round for intentional head butt. Snarski got injured but was ok to fight. Round six was dominated by Snarski but one of Abdurazakau´s punches was strong and wobbled Snarski almost to go down but his experiance in such situations saved him.

Round eight was the best for both. It was a real war. People were shouting to encourage their favourite. After the eight round there was no doubt Dariusz Snarski won the fight.
Referee Wlodzimierz Kromka scored the fight 77-75. With the victory Snarski improved his record to 31-30-2 with 6 KO.
