Pojonisevs upset Sjomkin
Experienced Latvian super middleweight fighter Ruslans Pojonisevs took the career-best victory this far last week at Jurmala Latvia when beating by points Estonian Anton Sjomkin who was reigning Baltic Boxing Union International champion when entering the ring.
The fight was scheduled for 6 rounds and whole bout went in control of Latvian fighter. After 6 rounds in the ring at Jurmala beach, Pojonisevs was announced as the new BBU International champion in super middleweight division by unanimous decision. Points were 60-54, 60-55, 60-56.
With the victory, Pojonisevs became the first-ever Latvian champion for BBU titles.
